Wales features as a location in my novel, The Wolf Project. It is Liz's spiritual home and it is mine. Here is a very short historical introduction to the country for those who don't know it. Come on this historical journey to Wales and travel back to the Neolithic Era. Discover a little of the beauty, magic and majesty of this ancient Celtic country!

Jet Meadows, the hero of my novel The Wolf Project, is a Ranger - a member of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment in the American army. An important part of being a Ranger is to adhere to the Ranger Creed. You can learn more in this short video.
The Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit decorps of my Ranger Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.

Dylan Thomas reciting his poem 'Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night'
In my novel, The Wolf Project, American General Jet Meadows recites this poem to Liz doing a fair imitation of Dylan Thomas himself. Here is Dylan reciting this poem; the text is below
Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
